Sapphire Crystal — Why It Matters

Every ZJani watch uses genuine sapphire crystal as standard. Rated Mohs 9 — the same hardness as a ruby. It does not scratch from keys, desk surfaces, belt buckles, gym equipment, or any material you encounter in daily wear. After a year of daily wear the crystal looks identical to day one. Mineral glass scratches from all of these contacts within weeks. Sapphire crystal is the single most visible daily difference between a well-specified watch and a poorly-specified one.

The NH35 Movement

The NH35 is made by Seiko Instruments — the same division that built movements powering Seiko watches for decades. It hacks — the second hand stops when you pull the crown, allowing precise time setting. It hand-winds — the mainspring charges manually without wearing the wrist. It self-winds through rotor movement during daily wear. 42-hour power reserve. No battery ever. Serviceable by any competent watchmaker worldwide.

904L Stainless Steel Bracelet

904L stainless steel is the same alloy grade used by Rolex on their professional sports watches. More corrosion resistant than the 316L standard used by most watch manufacturers. More polishable — achieving a deeper mirror finish. Heavier and more substantial on the wrist. The Oyster-style bracelet on this watch is built to the same material specification as watches costing many times the price.

Ceramic Bezel

The ceramic bezel is rated harder than steel — it does not scratch from any material encountered in daily wear. The colour does not fade over years of UV exposure. After five years of daily wear the ceramic bezel looks identical to day one. Aluminium bezels scratch and fade. Ceramic does not. This is the correct bezel specification for a watch built to last.
